GRAND FORKS, ND (May 6) - Last Friday night the Jordan Adams Racing team headed up to River Cities Speedway for race number two of the 2016 season. After getting caught up in an opening lap incident on the season opener, Jordan was looking to rebound and get things going in the right direction. A solid fourth place finish in the first heat of the evening put him
10th on the grid for the 25-lap Buffalo Wild Wings main event. The fast and tacky racing surface was basically the opposite from what the drivers experienced on opening night. "The track was a complete 360 from opening night. It was really fast and had a bottom, middle, and top groove," said Adams. "We were a little tight in both our heat race and the feature, but I felt fast. On a track that heavy everyone is fast. Twenty-five heavy laps was pretty grueling on me as I'm not back in the shape I need to be yet from surgery, but I'm slowly getting there and with that I think our results will continue to get better." Jordan got by defending track champion, Austin Pierce, on lap one but Pierce fought back to regain the position. From there, Adams battled with Casey Mack, Jade Hastings, and Wade Nygaard for the 10th position. The driver of the Home of Economy #20A swapped positions with those drivers until Thomas Kennedy and Dave Glennon entered the mix in the closing stages. When the checkers flew and the dust settled, Adams crossed the line in the 12th position. "A 12th place finish is a start," he continued. "After wrecking in the first lap of the opener, it was somewhat of a relief to finish the first feature of the year. Hopefully we can consistently get back into the top 10 or better like we were last year." Next weekend marks the start of a busy stretch of racing for the Reynolds United Co-op team as they take on both River Cities Speedway on Friday and Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday. "It's always fun having a double header, and this actually starts a long streak of double, triple, and quadruple headers up until The first week of August for us. We're looking forward to getting back to Grand Forks Friday and hopefully move in the right direction and carry some momentum into Saturday's Buffalo Wild Wing show at Devils Lake Speedway."
