REYNOLDS, ND-July 28th, 2015
The Jordan Adams Racing team put together two strong runs this past weekend in Ada, Minnesota and Grand Forks, North Dakota. Thursday night, the team traveled to Norman County Raceway for their one and only appearance in 2015. 17 cars were ready to do battle. Jordan would start 4th in his heat race and finish 4th. "The track was super fast. It was narrow so it was hard to pass," Jordan commented. In the feature, the 20A Home of Economy sprint car was set to start 9th. The green flag flew and Jordan settled into 9th. As the race went on, the track dried off and began to take rubber in the middle. Once Jordan found the rubber, he turned the second quickest lap of the race and moved into the 8th position which is where he finished. "The feature was decent for us. Unfortunately, i didn't find the rubber right away, but when I did i was fast," said Jordan. The team then set their sights on River Cities Speedway Friday night. It was Mid-Season Championship night which would set the heat race up by points. 28 cars were ready for battle on the bullring. Going into the night, Jordan was tied for 5th place so he would line up on the outside of row 2 in the second heat race. After shooting to the lead early in the heat race, Jordan would start to fall back and would eventually finish 5th, respectively. "I gave it everything i had in the heat. I tried running high, low, in the middle and nothing worked for me," said Jordan. This would line Jordan up to start 14th in the feature. From the drop of the green flag, Jordan started his charge to the front. With the help of a few cautions to restack the field, Jordan found himself in 6th with 10 to go. Another late caution with 4 to go found Jordan sitting in the 4th position. On the restart, Jordan dove to the bottom in 1 and 2 and passed Austin Pierce going down the backstretch for the 3rd position. Jordan would pull even with Wade Nygaard, but could not make the pass coming to the checkers. "It was a great race. Our car was great from the start and only got better at the end. I owe a big shoutout to my crew for staying after it all night. We struggled in the heat race, so to come back and finish 3rd which is our career best at River CIties Speedway feels like a win. To finish behind Dobmeier and Nygaard who have been doing this for more than 20 years feels really good considering we are in our 4th year of racing. Big thanks to all the people helping me out as i chase my dreams," Jordan commented. This week Jordan will be racing at River Cities Speedway on Friday night. Jordan is tied for 4th in NOSA points heading into the weekend. Jordan is tied for 5th in River Cities Speedway points.
