REYNOLDS, ND- July 20th, 2015
With a double header planned for the weekend, the Jordan Adams Racing team found themselves rained out on Friday night. The team then turned their focus to Buffalo River Race Park, one of Jordan's favorite tracks on the NOSA tour. 24 cars were checked in and ready to do battle. Jordan would draw a 117 eventually lining him up 5th in the third heat race. After a caution flag flew upon completion of the first lap, Jordan would now start 3rd after the 3rd place car was accessed for the caution. The next start would quickly find Jordan out front and pulling away from the rest of the field. A caution flag for a pileup in turn two would erase Jordan's lead and set the rest of the field right on his bumper. Jordan was able to hold off the field when the caution flew yet again for debris on the front stretch. The final 6 laps went green, and Jordan would win his heat race by a straight away. "The car was great. The track started to take rubber so once I found clean air I knew it was all up to me," Jordan commented. Come feature time, the #20A Home of Economy RML Trading sprinter lined up on the outside of the front row. When the green flag flew, Jordan settled into second for the first few laps. Wade Nygaard would pass Jordan on lap 3 putting Jordan back to the 3rd position. With 4 to go the yellow flag flew for the leader who spun off turn 2. This handed the lead to Cory Mack with Jordan in second and Austin Pierce in third. A four lap shootout saw Jordan pull even with the leader multiple times, but could not make the bottom work enough to make the pass. Jordan would finish in 2nd place, his best finish of the season to date. "Second is nothing to hang our heads about, but second sure stings when your that close. I am really proud of our team for everything we've accomplished this season. We're running strong and consistent, were just missing that win," said Jordan. This week the team has another double header on tap. Thursday, the team will be in Ada, Minnesota at Norman County Raceway for their one and only appearance in 2015. Friday, Jordan will head back to River Cities Speedway to cap off the weekend.
