By Mike Spieker CRARY, ND (June 8) - Friday night's event at River Cities Speedway may have been washed out due to rain, but the sun was shining and the Jordan Adams Racing team was ready to rock Saturday at Devils Lake Speedway. After starting fourth in his heat, Jordan charged forward to bring the Home of Economy/Dekalb #20A to the checkers in second.
Adams then rolled off the starting grid in fifth for the 25-lap feature. Despite multiple attempts by the track crew to get the top side to come in, the bottom was by far the preferred groove throughout the race. "The feature was pretty frustrating," said Jordan. "The track wasn't very racey so there wasn't much passing. We had a decent car when the track started to take rubber, but we ran out of laps." Jordan had to settle for a seventh place finish, but considering how the season started, the team is satisfied with that result. "I think now that we've had a couple weeks under our belts, things are starting to get better," Adams continued. "Sometimes it takes a while to get back in the swing of things, but for the most part I think we're on the right track and hopefully soon we will be inside the top five consistently." Throughout the week the crew will be prepping the car for a two-race weekend kicking off Friday night at River Cities Speedway and closing Saturday at Badlands Motor Speedway. "Last time we raced at Grand Forks we finished sixth, which was the best this year. Hopefully this week we can have a strong outing as we look toward next week having the outlaws in town. Turning to Saturday, we just want to turn some laps and get some seat time in the feature." Jordan now sits fourth in the NOSA points standings, just 32 markers behind leader, Wade Nygaard. Upcoming Events: June 10th - River Cities Speedway - NOSA Sprints June 11th - Badlands Motor Speedway - BWW Stampede June 14th - Granite City Speedway - World of Outlaws
