REYNOLDS, ND (July 6) - The Fourth of July weekend was a busy one for the Jordan Adams Racing team. A triple header brought them to three races in three days at two different tracks. It all began Friday night at River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks with the NOSA Sprint Cars. Jordan started third and finished third at the completion of his 10-lap heat race, which put the Cornerstone Ag Services/Eagle Chassis #20A eighth on the 26-car starting grid. Throughout the first 15 laps of the 25-lap Buffalo Wild Wings main event, Jordan moved up and down the running order as he battled with Nick Omdahl, Bobby Martin, Jade Hastings, and a host of others. Once the race reached the halfway mark, Jordan had found his groove and was picking up positions each lap.
Over the span of five circuits, Adams had advanced his Home of Economy machine four spots and ran in the fourth position. On the white flag lap Chris Ranten snuck by Adams, relegating the Reynolds, ND pilot to what was still a solid fifth place finish. “[Friday night] was a really strong night for our team,” said Adams after the race. “The car was great and we put together another strong run so that feels good to put together two consecutive top fives in Grand Forks.” Jordan and the American Crystal Sugar team now sit fourth in the NOSA point standings, 49 markers behind leader, Casey Mack. A big points weekend lies ahead with NOSA-sanctioned races at River Cities on Friday and Devils Lake Speedway on Saturday. “Points are always on your mind, but right now we're focused on being consistent,” continued Adams. “Hopefully we can keep climbing up the points standings as the year is on the downhill slide.” With the Fourth of July weekend marking the unofficial halfway point of the 2016 racing season, Adams isn’t satisfied with how the team has performed thus far and is looking for a better second half of the year. “Honestly, we've had a pretty poor season so far. The last few weeks have been good, so hopefully we can keep building on that.” Saturday and Sunday evening the team was down in Brandon, SD competing with the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Cars at Badlands Motor Speedway. Jordan finished the night 12th in the Last Chance Showdown on Saturday and was sixth in the C-main on Sunday.
