By Mike Spieker REYNOLDS, ND (May 25) – The Jordan Adams Racing team’s first triple header took place last weekend as they competed in three events at three different tracks in three states. Things commenced Friday night at River Cities Speedway. Jordan started 16th in the 24-car field and would drop as low as 18th at one point, but then rallied late to come home with a solid 11th place finish.
“Friday night was another tough night for us in Forks,” said Adams. “We struggled in the heat which put us deep in the feature lineup. The feature we were pretty decent, but I lost my wing valve early on which didn't allow me to tighten up the car any.” The team then loaded up and made the haul to Badlands Motor Speedway for the $100,000 Silver Shootout in Brandon, SD. Nearly 50 cars were on hand for the grand opening of the new speedway, including many of the Midwest’s top teams. Jordan finished fourth in his heat race, right behind Friday night’s winner Dusty Zomer. Despite the strong effort, Adams came up just short of transferring directly on to the A-main. Jordan’s last shot at making the big show would have to happen in the B-main, but he was unable to secure one of the top four positions to advance. However, it was a good night overall for the Dekalb #20A. “With 47 Sprint Cars on hand, my goal never changed of making the A-main. Unfortunately, we ended up just short of that, but it was nothing to hang our heads on.” The weekend wrapped up Sunday night at the Glyndon, MN quarter-mile of Buffalo River Race Park. Jordan grabbed the heat race win in dominating fashion and started sixth for the feature. After the 25-lap event concluded, Adams finished right where he started to secure his best finish of the weekend. “Getting the first win out of the way felt good. I unfortunately flipped for the invert, so instead of starting first we started sixth,” continued Jordan. “Considering the competition in front of me, a sixth place finish was a decent way to end the weekend.” This weekend the Home of Economy team will take on River Cities Speedway on Friday before heading back to Badlands Motor Speedway Saturday night!
