By Spieker Promotions REYNOLDS, N.D. (June 27, 2018) – Last weekend the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints embarked on a four-race swing that covered four different tracks in four nights in three different states. Jordan Adams and the Home of Economy / DEKALB crew were there every step of the way as they continued to chase the 2018 NOSA points title. The weekend got started off on a strong note as Jordan raced to a fourth place finish at Norman County Raceway in Ada, Minn.
The following night, the series returned to their Friday night home, River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks. After finishing third in his heat, a favorable redraw put Jordan on the pole for the 25-lap feature. At the drop of the green flag, Jordan jumped out to the early lead over fellow front row starter, Cale Mack. The driver of the FAST / BĒT Vodka No. 20A opened up his lead in the early going. At the halfway point, Jordan had his hands full holding off River Cities’ all-time wins leader, Mark Dobmeier. The two raced side by side in turns one and two when a lapped car spun right in front of them. Jordan drove off the embankment to avoid contact, but clipped the water barrels on the outside of the track in doing so. As a result, Jordan was sent to the tail of the field for the restart, but he didn’t stay back there long. Jordan restarted in the 14th position, but cracked the top 10 in just four laps. It took him just another four laps to reach the top five. In the final five laps, Jordan moved by Alberta’s Kelly Miller for fourth, which is where he went on to take the checkers. “It was a roller coaster of emotions all within a short period of time,” said Jordan of Friday’s feature. “I felt like we had the car to beat at the start of the race. Things happen so fast in lapped traffic unfortunately. When I hit the barrels, I thought we were done for sure. I loosened up my belts and everything. To get back out and get back up to 4th was pretty remarkable. Disappointing in the big picture of things, but that just goes to show how good of a car we had.” On Saturday at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, S.D. motor issues put a damper on their night. Jordan was credited with 20th in the main event, but the team rallied on Sunday at Casino Speedway in Watertown, S.D. to wrap up the weekend. On a tight and tacky quarter-mile bullring, Jordan charged from 18th to 8th in the feature. “Hats off to Casino Speedway for the racing surface. I thought we were going to go green to checkered but lucked out and got a yellow with five to go,” said Jordan. “It was a fast track at the beginning, so not much passing happened. By the midpoint of the race things started to slick off and we got going. It was a nice way to cap off the long weekend.” The Jordan Adams Racing team will be back in action this Friday night at River Cities Speedway. Green flag drops at 7pm.
