GRAND FORKS, ND (July 12) - Last Friday night Jordan Adams’ American Crystal Sugar/BSR racing team unloaded at River Cities Speedway for their 19th event of the 2016 season. Jordan began the night starting fifth in heat race number two, but quickly moved forward. On lap two Jordan found himself riding in the second position behind Blake Egeland and that is where he took the checkers at the completion of the 10-lap event.
That put the Eagle/Kistler #20A in the fifth starting spot for the 25-lap main event. Once again, Jordan moved forward in the early going. By the second circuit, Jordan was riding second to Blake Egeland just as he did in the heat race. Jordan rode in the runner-up spot for several laps, right in the tracks of the white and black #26. The second half of the race was a different story for Adams, however. A lap 10 restart shuffled Adams’ Tony Anderson Construction/Dobmeier Insurance machine back to the seventh spot. From there Jordan battled with current NOSA point leader, Casey Mack, and Trent Stengl for the remainder of the feature and finished in seventh, scoring his eighth top 10 of the season. Saturday night the team went west to Devils Lake Speedway, but the evening was washed out before the Sprint Cars could hit the track. Coming up this weekend is a three-race tour through the Red River Valley. “It all starts with Grand Forks on Friday,” said Adams. “Hopefully we have a strong run Friday to carry in some momentum to Saturday at Buffalo River [Race Park] where we have been close to winning. Then turning the page to the exciting return of Sprint Cars to Red River Valley Speedway on Sunday. It's going to be a great weekend.” Upcoming Events: July 14 - River Cities Speedway July 15 - Buffalo River Race Park July 16 - Red River Valley Speedway Photo and recap by Mike Spieker | [email protected]
