REYNOLDS, N.D. (June 12, 2018) – For the first time this season, the World of Outlaws Craftsman Sprint Car Series make their way to North Dakota. On Friday night, the “Greatest Show on Dirt” will head to Jordan Adams’ home track, River Cities Speedway
Adams says he enjoys the challenge of taking on the Outlaws.
“There's a lot to look forward to when the Outlaws come to town,” he said. “It really gives you an idea of where your program is at and how you are running for the year when you get to take them on being at your home track.”
While the big money isn’t paid out until the end of the night, Adams says the most important laps come at the beginning of the night during time trials.
“Hopefully we can put down two solid qualifying laps to get the night going as that plays a huge factor in how the rest of the night goes,” he said. “Thousands of eyes all on you for 30 seconds... what could be more thrilling?”
Adams’ best appearance with the World of Outlaws last year came at River Cities on June 16th when he raced to a 17th place finish.
Last Saturday night, Adams returned to the site of his most recent win; Jamestown Speedway.
A third place finish in his heat put Adams outside of the fifth row for the 25-lap feature.
“I knew we had our work cut out for us after the heat race,” continued Adams. “We got going right away in the feature, but unfortunately when the track gets to be rubber like that it takes a big mistake for the person in front of you to get by them. We were right there though at the end with the top three and had good speed so nothing to be discouraged about.”
Adams moved from 10th to finish sixth, to claim his seventh top 10 of the season.
Adams is also tentatively scheduled to compete Saturday at Devils Lake Speedway with the Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprints.
