By Spieker Promotions REYNOLDS, N.D. (May 30, 2018) – It was a busy Memorial Day weekend for Jordan Adams and the Home of Economy / DEKALB racing team. Three Buffalo Wild Wings NOSA Sprint Car events were scheduled at three different tracks over the weekend, starting with River Cities Speedway in Grand Forks on Friday night. After coming up just short of a top five at the season opener at the bullring, Adams was determined entering the night.
Adams started on the outside of the front row of his heat race as he cruised to the win. Adams redrew the third starting spot for the main event. The Reynolds, N.D. driver raced inside the top five all race long and came away with a respectable fifth place finish at the checkers. On Saturday, the team unloaded at Devils Lake Speedway for their second appearance of the season at the high-banked quarter-mile oval. Adams recorded his best finish of the season to date by the end of the caution-plague feature. Adams started sixth on the 21-car grid and drove up to a fourth place finish. The weekend concluded Sunday evening at Buffalo River Race Park at the NOSA Sprints made their first appearance to the tight quarter-mile in two years. A third place finish in his heat put Adams on the outside of the front row for the 25-lapper. Adams got the early jump over pole sitter, Chris Ranten, to lead the opening laps. However, Ranten was able to reel in and get by Adams on the lap six restart. Adams fought for each position for the remainder of the race and came away with a solid fifth place finish. “Last weekend was a decent weekend. We were in the top five all weekend so I really can't complain, other than wanting to do better of course,” he said. “For how early we are in the season, I'm happy with where we are. We have a long summer to go to get up into the top five even more and contest for some wins.” This weekend, Adams will return to River Cities Speedway and Devils Lake Speedway to compete with the NOSA Sprints. “We are definitely riding on some momentum right now,” said Adams. “We have been in the top five the last four nights so hopefully we can stay consistent and keep that going this weekend.” 2018 Stats: Races: 6 Wins: 0 Top Fives: 4 Top Tens: 4 Heat Wins: 2
